SUMMARY:Strategy Quarterly Review and Reset
DESCRIPTION:“Action is the foundational key to all success” – Pablo Picasso \nStrategy is a little bit about good strategic thinking and a whole lot about execution planning.  Once you’ve been through the 2 day strategic planning workshop\, momentum must be maintained through quarterly review and reset sessions. \nEvery quarter is a thirteen-week race. It goes by fast. Before you know it\, the quarter is over. And then the year is over. You are left with the question\, “Did we accomplish what we set out to accomplish?” \nTo win the thirteen-week race\, you need to do two things. \n(1) You need a plan for the quarter that your team is excited to execute and that maps a clear course to achieving critical goals—for the organisation\, for departments\, and for individuals. Now your team is focused and aligned. \n(2) Get out of their way. Don’t distract them during the quarter with unplanned priorities or the next great idea. Do these two things and you will win your 13-week race. \nIn this half day workshop we help you: \n\nReview\, analyse (and hopefully celebrate!) your achievements for the last quarter\nCheck in on the 12-Month Priorities\nSet the next Quarterly Action Plan\n\nIncludes: \n\nPre workshop preparation guidance\nA facilitated half day group workshop

SUMMARY:KPI Workshop - Session 2
DESCRIPTION:Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are an important metric in businesses\, linking the business’s strategic goals to day-to-day activities. They provide a means for accountability and are a future predictor of success which\, when measured at the right intervals\, allows management to make effective decisions on course correction when needed. \nHowever\, KPIs are really only effective if you identify the right ones for your business. KPIs will only deliver insightful data if you use the right KPIs and analyse what they tell you on a regular basis to inform your decision making. \nAll too often\, businesses jump straight to setting targets based on the first indicators that come to mind\, or ones commonly used by others. But these are not necessarily relevant to your business and won’t be the powerful driver of performance and behaviours that KPIs can be. \nFocus HR takes a systematic approach to assisting businesses to set meaningful KPIs using a cascading approach. Over 2 workshops\, our facilitators assist your business to identify the Key Performance Questions (the questions to ask which tell management whether the business is performing) and from that\, the Key Performance Indicators (the measure that will be used to track performance). Upon completion of the workshops\, the business is equipped with the ability to stress test whether the KPIs identified are meaningful\, measurable and relevant. \nIt is important to book for both sessions – the total cost is $1200+GST.

SUMMARY:6 Coaching Conversations
DESCRIPTION:The traditional annual performance review is “a process that looks in the rear-view mirror\, that’s focused on what you’ve done a year ago. That just isn’t current with how we’re working and how many of the  employees that we’re looking to attract or grow have been raised.”\nDonna Morris\, CHRO at Adobe \nPERFORMANCE REVIEWS DON’T IMPROVE PERFORMANCE.\nWe need to move the mindset from performance review to performance development. \nConstraints of traditional performance appraisals: \n• Costly to implement\n• Often a monologue rather than a dialogue\n• Too formal\, and likely to stifle discussion\n• Too infrequent\n• Not sufficiently meaningful to the role (an exercise in form filling)\n• Rarely followed up with appropriate actions\n• Often a stressful experience for those involved \nAdapted from Tim Baker – 5 conversations framework\nWe’ve taken the insightful work of Tim Baker in his book\, ‘The End of the Performance Review’ and applied our unique\napproach to finding a practical implementation for our SME clients. \n6 COACHING CONVERSATIONS\n• One 20 minute conversation a month\n• 6 different topics rotating\n• Identifying success indicators for the role which link back to the strategic goals of the business\n• Including a 6-monthly review of the factors that indicate success in the individual’s role\n• Discussing the team member’s contribution approach to work through the 4 non-job-role conversation
