• Do you know how satisfied your staff really are at work?
  • Have you got a good reputation as an ‘employer of choice’?
  • Is it easy for you to attract, engage and retain high quality people?

Few organisations can answer ’Yes’ to all of these questions. If you are like most businesses, you may not have taken the time to really analyse how ‘good’ you are as an employer.

The satisfaction of your staff will impact on:

  • your reputation as an employer and hence your ability to attract the people you want working for you
  • your ability to retain quality staff and avoid the significant cost of replacement
  • your employees' engagement and motivation to perform at a high level.

The best way to know how you are perceived by your staff (and hence by people outside your organisation) is very simple – ask them!

We design, administer and analyse comprehensive staff perception surveys. We then write a full report and meet with you to discuss the findings and develop action plans.

We know that each business is different. Our surveys are tailored to your needs and our approach matches the demographics of your team.

We can conduct online, paper based, individual or group surveys. The process can be confidential and anonymous to ensure maximum openness and honesty in responses.

When a staff member decides to exit your organisation, they have a reason. Given that they are leaving, they can be open and honest about their perceptions from their time with you.

It is crucial to know why people leave and we help with this by:

  • designing an exit interview specific to your business
  • conducting your exit interviews as people leave your employment
  • running a full exit interview project to troubleshoot high turnover

 What Our Clients Say...

Naomi and the Focus HR team have helped us to engage with our employees, understand what makes us an employer of choice and helped us to develop our strengths and improve our weaknesses in this area.

Jim Wagner, Director Joe Wagner Group

We recently engaged Focus HR to conduct a staff perception survey for us at Murdoch Lawyers. We are very impressed with what Focus HR has done and presented. Their observations and comments have been excellent. We only have positive feedback for their work – well done, very efficient and a good analysis of the salient issues. I am sure we will be working together in the future!

Tom McVeigh, Managing Director Murdoch Lawyers

Case Study

Focus HR was engaged by a local not-for-profit organisation facing significant cultural issues.  We conducted a cultural analysis performing both anonymous and face-to-face staff surveys.  Based on the findings, Focus HR was able to provide a range of specific and practical actions.  Since then, Focus HR has worked as an integral part of the management team in the organisation, implementing the recommendations and assisting in organisational and cultural change.
By engaging Focus HR, this NFP had ready access to experienced HR professionals at their fingertips who were able to support, advise and give hands on involvement every step of the way.
The results were remarkable.  From the initial staff satisfaction measure in 2011 to a comparative measure taken after implementation, 14 of the 15 key areas of staff satisfaction showed significant improvement, some by as much as 70%!
