Karla brings over a decade of experience in employee relations and people leadership to FocusHR, having held senior HR / advisory and leadership roles in the Banking, Finance, Mining and Manufacturing Services Industries. She joins the team to lead our Workplace Support Hub, applying her expertise to partner with clients in navigating both day-to-day challenges and more complex workplace matters.

Karla enjoys working through complexity — whether that’s unpacking intricate workplace issues, improving processes or identifying practical solutions that strengthen both culture and performance. Known for her calm and considered approach, she brings a steady perspective to high-pressure situations and is passionate about supporting leaders to make confident, well-informed decisions. She is particularly driven by creating environments where people feel heard, valued and supported.

Outside of work, you’ll find Karla recharging with yoga or Pilates, and enjoying quality family time, good coffee, the outdoors and a great sunset. How delightful!
