Recently, I had the pleasure of working one-on-one with a leader in our Leadership Coaching Program.
Over a period of 6 months, we explored DiSC in detail, talked through challenges, and worked through tools, tips and approaches to use in different situations. Above all, we built a really strong and trusting relationship.
The takeaway for me as the coach?
There is so much power in connection — and in being open to different perspectives.
The takeaway for our leader:
“I’m more confident in myself and my decision making… not everything requires an answer straight away. It’s ok to take time to think about a response.”
A simple but impactful shift — from reacting to responding.
When leaders increase their awareness of their own behaviours and triggers, and take the time to step out of the day-to-day and reflect, a few things start to happen:
-
They build confidence in their own judgement
-
They become more self-aware
-
They stop taking things personally and start understanding others better
-
They communicate more clearly and intentionally
Another reflection from this leader:
“I am more self-aware and don’t take people’s behaviour personally anymore.”
In this case, coaching also helped this leader recognise the value of one-on-one conversations with their team, and gain a better understanding of different personality styles — reducing tension and improving relationships.
Why leadership coaching?
Leadership can be isolating.
Many leaders don’t have someone they can talk things through with — or even just vent to — in a safe, confidential way. They’re often expected to have the answers, manage people, and make decisions without that sounding board.
That’s where coaching makes a real difference.
Our program provides:
-
A confidential space to think, talk things through, and be heard
-
Practical tools you can actually use
-
Gentle challenge and accountability
-
Support tailored to your real, day-to-day challenges
Our coaching program is designed to help leaders build self-awareness, sharpen decision-making, and become more intentional in how they lead.
If you’re curious about how coaching could support you or your team, we’d love to have a conversation.
